I highly doubt I'll be in any shape or experience to try this by the end of the year but this looks like an interesting way to see more of the state!
I've never actually been too far from the East coast/Launceston.
Also the route goes through where I grew up and I can think of a scenic foreshore trail followed by a short fire trail climb it's missing out on in favour of just going straight up the highway
