I never understood what you were supposed to do with these thingies..

Usually supplied with the needles and pumps you use for inflating footballs/basketballs etc...but what the alligator-clip adaptor does...eluded me..obviously pump hose-end will screw on to or grip on to male Schrader stub...ok..now what?

Never seen one, but I assume your needle slides into that slot so that it is pressed up against the seal? Seems klunky though.

yep, tried it, clunky is right , iffy seating air-seal even when sping-tension pressing it when used like that, as you are flexing/shaking whole structure around as you pump on pump..

have a vast collection of never can be found when need one inflation adaptors but never seen one like that...my guess would be it's for inflating balloons? The opening of the balloon goes over the nozzle and the balloon "neck" is held in place by the clip
