Probably jumping straight back into the 110km event in the Tour de Brisbane was not the smartest move. To make it worse Strava shortchanged me 20km because of the tunnels. Probably should stick that unused speed sensor on!

Rest, what’s that?ningnangnong wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 11:21 am
Bloomin' heck! Outrageous numbers. Nice bloody work! Do you ever have rest days?
I'm at 5,117km, with a paltry 39,732m of up.
Sometimes I just do shorter and easy rides unless I’m really exhausted then I’ll take a day off.

Weather looks grim here for the next week or two. I just did 30km on the trainer - first indoor ride in some time.
Not sure how everyone else puts out such big kilometres indoors - think I'll just go out in the rain and wind for the next week... I reckon that'd be more enjoyable.

Yes, thanks. Not pleasant but largely over it now. Tapped out an easy 95k today on country roads. Was good to be out in the sunshine.ningnangnong wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 3:55 pm
Is this the first time you've had it?
Hopefully it doesn't knock you around too much getting back into it.

Not a fan of being in front of the fan either. Better than not riding and you can have a good structured workout. Safe due to no Australian motorists too.ningnangnong wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 3:55 pm5,936 km

Prefer being outside also.

For me when it's cold and wet, I just get far too cold. It's really miserable. I prefer to stay warm.ningnangnong wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 3:55 pm5,936 km

It helps to do indoor rides that aren't just endless loops of something flat as a pancake - ie: Tempus Fugit in Zwift.
