Changed traffic conditions on Bobbin Head Road, North Turramurra

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on Bobbin Head Road, North Turramurra between Apple Tree Bay and Memorial Road.
These changes are necessary to carry out slope remediation work and maintenance of drainage systems along Bobbin Head Road. Work will also involve minor vegetation removal.

Night works will be carried out between Monday 18 March and Friday 01 November for up to 186 shifts, weather and worksite conditions permitting.

A full road closure along Bobbin Head Road, between Apple Tree Bay and Memorial Road, will be in place between the hours of 8pm and 5am during the nights work is carried out.

Was one of the coldest mornings today when I took off. Had to even put a base layer on.

I didn't ride today because of deliveries scheduled - but then ended up with a smashing big headache. I did do a bit of Zwift a little while ago but 45min of that was enough, legs were fine but ultimately didn't feel too great.

It did feel cool this morning - but in my home office I have a big Mac Pro heater and two screens so things warm up nicely.

Beautiful mornings this week

Yes beautiful! Did Crosslands Reserve this morning, fog in the valley and next to no cars. The climb out is a killer but took it easy and temperature was just right.

I went outside then went back inside. I did a zwift workout instead.

I think my outdoor rides now are only going to be commute to work and back.

I might just do a lot of Zwift workouts. I'm starting to smash myself on long, high intensity over/under intervals at the moment. When I've done one of those I don't feel like doing any other riding. I'm trying to drag my FTP up.

Terrific weather today. Decided to ride a short section of the Bay Run path to get from A to B on my ride - that path is just crazy - runners in the dedicated bike lanes, Karens shouting to cyclists to give way to pedestrians (yes, even the pedestrians walking in the bike lane). Not many genuine runners - just lots of Instagram selfie takers in their Lululemon kit.

I hung about at home all morning watching the radar. Radar said rain, backyard said dry.

Radar and backyard the same after lunch so I nicked out to do the shopping. Alas when I came out, dunno what the radar said, dunno what the backyard said, but the shopping centre carpark said "you are going to get very wet"

And I did... But that's what woolen gear is for.

As it happened the rain went mainly to the northern suburbs & south of Sydney so I had a nice clear ride in

Dry commute this morning, except for a brief but heavy shower just after I left. Only lasted a few minutes though. Later on as I got near the CBD it was actually sunny.

I think the menu for this week will be very patchy and fast changing rain. Some areas will be ok, others not. Ride when you can and ignore the forecast. The forecast says 'rain' but that's all of Sydney.

I went for a walk tonight, left home looking at stars and actually walked back inside to leave my rain jacket at home. 40 mins later it had clouded over and I was hit by a short, sharp shower.

First ride in two weeks due to a cold, medical appointments, looking after grandson and the weather. Pretty variable this morning, with bright sunshine, dark clouds and even mist (and this was after 9am). Only about 30 seconds of light rain in last couple of kilometres on way home. Still it was great to be out and riding!
Switch to winter mode with long tights and winter boots which necessitates raising seat by a few millimetres.

Yep, I want to turn the reverse cycle heating on, but the solar generation has been up, down & all over the place - produces for 15-30 minutes & then drops off again. Haven't had a consistent day of production since April

I would really like to be able to set my aircon to only run off solar generated power, but I haven't found a commercial system that can do that.
