If its any consolation it rides as well as, if not better, than it looks........dont supose that is any consolation is it??
I was actually a little worried when I bought it as I am lucky enough to get to ride some top end bikes from time to time, so putting my own money down made me a little nervous about whether I would be disappointed or not.
So far Im very happy.

There's nowhere to balance it, thus, the bike is useless.jules21 wrote:where do you balance the shopping?
Better just give it to me instead.

Its really good actually, even with a fairly minimalist saddle on. That said it is a race bike so is not meant to be an armchair ride but doesnt feel as harsh or as twitchy as some Ive ridden.PHL wrote: Very nice bike; how is the ride comfort like?
My previous was a Specialized Tarmac E5 S-Works and this is every bit as comfortable, but lighter and more responsive and I think suits me and my riding style better than the Specialized which was already a great bike.
It is a bit wanky riding it in training with the Zipps on, but I havent got any spare wheels for it yet, but it absolutely humms along at speed with the Zipps on so its going to be hard to take them off when I do get some spares.
Im supposed to be getting a Specialized SL3 to play with in a week or so so it will be intersting to see how this compares, especially on bang for buck as the Specialized is quite a few $$ more.
Narrowly avoided a crash in front of me this morning and the whole time as I was watching the girl in front fall, I was just worried about my bike. Im so ashamed!

Anyway, all seriousness aside, read my post "it's meant to be ridden..." in the general discussion if you ever find yourself treating your pride and joy like glass.
Enjoy!

Its only clean cause thats how I like to keep my bikes, just cause they are clean doesnt mean they dont get dirty. My car however is filthy.
Perks of my "part time" job. As I said in my intro profile thingy, I have a 2nd job that has me involved in cycling, but dont worry Im not selling anything! And its not always that good, but its never bad.Richard.L wrote:How you getting all these bikes roxii??? i would love an SL3

Very nice - The Zipps look awesome on that frame, hopefully it looks just as flash with a standard set of wheels (ie not deep dish)roxii wrote:My new toy,, good enough for Cadel!!
Soul make great lightweight wheels at 1330g for complete aluminium wheelset 25mm rim depth (race legal!) Actually all their wheels are good quality, cheap and look the part... (I'm not a soul sales rep I swear! just a happy customer) Soul Wheels

My new frame 2008/09 Giant TCR C1 - It will be built on Sunday 18/04/2010. Unfortunatley it will be built with 6500 ultegra groupo and stock Shimano WH550 wheels (until my new Soul wheels arrive and I learn how to transfer cassettes from wheel to wheel)
The next step is to get the new wheels on aand then look at a new groupo. The guy who had the frame before me was running Campy record and plastered the bike with Campy stickers (not a good look when your running old shimano gearing) so It's either strip the stickers off or get some campy gear?
Hmmm that BMC is a hard act to follow...
