Paper, scissors, rock.
Gaffer tape, super glue, weld
I spoke to a very competent bicycle mechanic friend today who owns a 90% workshop/ 10% sales establishment at Alderly in the Bilo shopping complex. The shop is called HGR (Highgearacing) & Ashley has told me a full build would be $120 . He regularly services Campag Record/ DA 7900 etc, but if Fusion are more convenient they sound like a safe bet with a professional workshop from what I've seen.
I can do a mean bike build myself although you will need to supply your own welding mask.
This BB will never squeak again !!!!!!!!!!

Having put together 3 11s SR groupsets in the last few months I can tell you need to be REALLY precise especially swapping BB30s in & out. One job I was a bit rushed and it was more than a few attempts to fix the shifting afterward til my mate was happy.
Fusion were great but I've had two mates bring their bike to me after not being happy with Fusion in the last 6 months. It was all Shimano stuff, but just sloppily dealt with.
Oh and there is no way in Hades I'd use a "Made in China" chain link.

Why didn't you say something 18 days ago ? I have one here.laager wrote:After waiting 17 days for a piddly 35mm braze on clamp adaptor I cracked up today and sought local. $40 from Fusion. $50 from Velo. Exactly the same clamp.
Fusion are now booked for the double surgery Tuesday next week.
The countdown now begins.

Used my last one last week. I think the recommended torque setting is a whopping 7nm. Don't overtorque!laager wrote:Well, if it's a black Campagnolo one like the one below I'll take it off your hands if the ordered one fails to arrive in time for the surgery.ZepinAtor wrote:Why didn't you say something 18 days ago ? Well no, it's a shinny Shimano one which would have done as a temporary quick fix until your fancy smancy Campag one departed Italy (cough China)laager wrote:Well, if it's a black Campagnolo one like the one below I'll take it off your hands if the ordered one fails to arrive in time for the surgery.ZepinAtor wrote:Why didn't you say something 18 days ago ? The bags are so beautiful. Made in Italy, I can't bring myself to throwing the empty bags away....
