Cruiser Build 26 Inch

Postby mxmort » Sun Mar 10, 2013 11:11 pm

Hey lads
I swapped a mate a early MS for this cruiser but not sure about a year for it.
He thinks it is a Shwinn but wasnt sure
It had 26 straight forks like a bmx but he tossed and whacked on 27inch racer forks (dont ask me why)
So before i go whacking on 26 ayaras and tange forks etc i would like to know how old the frame is??

Im not an expert, but if it was a seriously old bike I'd expect it to have really cool gussets instead of welded frame joins. Build it how you want! 8)

Hi guys I'm new.

I have the same bike and don't know what it is either. Someone suggested it might be a Repco Beachcomber??? The previous owner said he bought it second hand about 20years ago and that it had been repainted 7 years ago.

Looks 80s to me. There was plenty of these type of bikes in bmx trim being sold in the US at that time.

1981 Raleigh Rambler MX almost except for the lugged head tube connection.
