Yeah but I'm a tight ass!!! Hahaantipodean wrote:My theory is if you can afford their ridiculously priced wheels what's another $94!
I bought some 2ndhand so they were bout the same price as any other decent carbon wheel..,
Ross:
I'm running Swissstop yellows now and they are terrible... No modulation, squeal, and reports of overheating and rim damage...

I looked at most of the usual US sites, where the enve blocks are cheapest...Fidi1979 wrote:http://fairwheelbikes.com/enve-carbon-b ... -4450.html
Postage however from any of the US sites is the killer... Between $35 & $50 mostly...
Ended up getting them from sigmasports... $67 delivered... Might try the Reynolds as well, thanks for the tip fellas...

I was talking with a mate after today's race and he runs the same brake pads (Swissstop yellows) on both his alloy and carbon wheels. I expressed concern about the pads picking up micro bits of aluminium and damaging the carbon wheels but he reckons there's no problem.

I am with you Ross there is no way I would use the same pads for both carbon and alloy.Ross wrote:I run Swissstop yellows on my carbon wheels and they seem ok. Very similar in performance to my alloy wheels with standard Shimano pads. I might try something else when they wear out just to see what all the fuss is about.

Love the performance oy swisstop yellow but plan to give the new black prince a try.
