Delivery bikes in the CBD (Melb)

Postby fat and old » Sat Jun 15, 2019 6:32 am

I've spent the last few weeks working in Collins and Ltl Bourke St's; longest consistent stretch for quite a while. And I have to say the biggest diff I've seen is the sheer amount of delivery bikes getting around, esp. the cargo bikes. Either lightish box couriers or food, as well as the usual H/D lecky foodie bikes. Maybe there's a solid future there.

Food delivery bikes outnumbers real cargo bikes by about 50:1 IMHO, even counting the rad families that ride cargo bikes to ferry their sprog/s about. :)

What I find real sad is people who order food delivery from McDs  most of those look like single-diner orders too not party catering. Can't imagine wanting McDs so bad I'd get it delivered :P besides I like my fries with that uber fresh.
