Detour - Path works around Trinity College

Postby ColinOldnCranky » Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:16 am

This morning I happened across workmen closing of the path on the river side of Trinity College in East Perth. Fencing is now in place from just north of the tennis courts to the Waterbank sales office.

Riders need to be extra careful. You will be mixing it with early morning school dropoff - Senior school AND Junior school - on Nelson Avenue and, from experience, it gets VERY busy. Please ride to conditions.

Also watch out as you cross what is marked by Google as Trinity Acc. Staff and students using that access will be in the blind spot of riders heading into Perth.

The return to normal path is about fifty metres upstream of the Causeway underpass. The guys setting the fencing up indicated that the works will take around twelve weeks.

There is a creek and swamp developing on site this morning, probably from the weight of a telehandler parked over some underground retic. It's been reported to the Engineer to address it. Apparently it is a redundant retic pipe that they thought had been turned off.
