Sunscreen for the Face

Summer is fast approaching and the BOM are already issuing recommended UV sun protection times.
Normally I just buy a litre sized pump pack of one of the Cancer Council products. Will do the same this year.
I can tolerate the greasy, cakey, shiny stuff on my arms and legs but can't stand it on my face.
I once used a thinner, matt finish sunscreen that didn't leave a heavy greasy film but can't for the life of me remember what it was.
Any recommendations? Just on the face for all day protection (with reapplication), on and off the bike.
Main criteria is a non-greasy product that bugs don't stick to.

And as an afterthought perhaps either zinc or titanium based. I've had quite severe reactions to other formulations, especially after shaving (my face).

Seems to do the job, often available half price at the supermarkets. Definitely not as greasy as the usual ones.

I use the Cancer Council stuff labelled as "work", with the green label:

SPF50+ broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. Dry touch - dirt and dust won't stick. Oil and fragrance free. Tested for 4 hours water resistance.

I've also found that the small hand sanitiser bottles (empty of course) make perfect storage for sunscreen while riding. Enough for 2 reapplications of arms, legs and face, securely sealed lid, and small so fits in jersey pocket or saddle bag.

Works ok and not too greasy and not too expensive.

I find I much prefer the oilier, water-resistant sunscreens. Not only do they stay on longer and limit dilution from perspiration, they also protect my skin better from getting dried out by the sun and wind.

Above the eyes, I use a light do-rag instead, so that it doesn't get carried into my eyes by perspiration, but below the eyes on my face, on my ears, and on my neck, they work really well for me - much better than the non-oily types that just don't last the distance.

On my arms I prefer to use a summer weight L/S jersey as not even 50+ sunscreen provides enough protection to prevent sun-related skin irritation.

Thanks for all the suggestions fellas.
I agree that the heavier oily preparations stay put longer but these days a couple of hours covers most rides.
No problems with application above the eyes as I wear a peaked cap all year around.

White zinc is good for the face - not greasy, and you can put it on quite thinly and good excellent coverage. Downside is even when applied thinly you look like a ghost

My tip, sunscreennon the noes, under eyes, ears and below.

Nothing above the eyes which are protected with super big sunnies and the lip of the helmet.

Sunscreen in the eyes ruins a good ride and this has worked for me for sun protection.
