I'm looking for a steel mountain bike near Sydney for my son's friend to ride to school - already 5' 7" & not yet 12, so looking for a small adult size.
I was thinking of something indestructible with a rigid fork, like an Apollo Kosciusko, Shogun trail breaker, etc. Prior to the spicy cough they were everywhere, but I haven't been able to find one lately.
Any leads gratefully accepted

Managed to pick up a shogun metro for cheap
Seller couldn't replace rear cable for canti brakes. Saddle will be replaced & cranks have seen better days - middle ring looks like it has a crack. Twas the headset that surprised me - top nuts were loose & DPO had pushed the stem down hard in an unsuccessful repair attempt. Will pull the fork out & hope that the threading is not damaged.
Otherwise it should scrub up ok.
[edit] darn it looks like the thread has been beaten up. On my car I would get it welded up & the thread re-cut, but not sure who would do that for a bike or the price. Otherwise its replacement fork time
