Hope all is well with the family Retro.

A better month than last for me, but suffered a bit due to a tweaked hammy/glute due to a trip up the stairs.

Managed 684km and 6,063 m of elevation gain.

Proper mudguards now fitted so hopefully that helps the winter km !

This year is not off to a great start, I was targetting 8,000km (largely because that was my target last year). Between the road bike being out of action, toddlers to tend to throughout the night and now a newborn, it's been tough to get out at all, I'm currently at 1370km for the year and 1300km behind target.

At least I get 20km commutes most days which keeps a level of fitness and sanity. The E-cargo is getting most of the riding now, which is a heap of fun with the toddler.

Family comes first. I reckon I was guilty of spending too much time on my bike when our kids were small. I'd reverse that now if I could

Hmm, April.

Easter always reduces the April total, but a week off with a very sore tooth meant April was down further.

620KM, and now up to 2,652KMs today, still about 150 behind my 8,000 target for the year so I need to get ahead as I will be away for all of September.

I'm not off to a good start this month.
9 days in and only one 43km ride a week ago.
The weather has been atrocious.
I still have surplus miles up my sleeve but time to pull the finger out.
The forecast is looking better within the next few days.

100%, love riding but not at the detriment of family time. I know a guy that did a century the day after his 3rd child was born

Yeah, bad start for me too, Meniere's attack last week so day off work and so dizzy on Friday last week I worked from home. This Friday I will work from home because my building is closed due to work on the building next door, so no ride to work.

Today was a bit slow too, wind in the face in both directions and I am taking it a little easy.

Must make up some KMs, will be away all of September so doubt I will ride at all . . . should make Around the Bay a challenge!

Cracked 1600km so far, a little behind where I want to be but I need more bike time/less work.
I really should take up cycling!

More like winter temperatures in May this year but lovely sunny and dry riding weather so finished with my best month this year to date.

Still riding largely solo with most mid week rides together with Club group rides on Saturday mornings.
Managed 822 km and 5130 metres elevation, bringing YTD totals to 3845 km and 23335 metres respectively so happy with that.

Generally riding early for family reasons to be home for a family breakfast. Leaving at 05:00 during the week and 06:00 on Saturdays with Garmin recording as low as 1 deg C recently on the way home along the Moreton Rail bike path. Finally purchased my first winter jacket (DHB) which was on super discount from Wiggle.

All outdoor rides

629KMs for April for me.

Not good, I have been unwell with Meniere's and at the moment working from home. Not sure when I can get back on a bike given the balance issues I currently have.

Hopefully soon, slowly getting less dizzy and hoping I can get on a tram to work tomorrow.

Only 410km for me this month.
I can't find any reasons or excuses for the lower mileage other than cold, wet and windy weather and just a general lack of motivation and energy.
Glad I started the year on a high note. I still have a couple of hundred km's up my sleeve to keep the 8400km target on track.
YTD - 3668km.

Crappy month here for me too. House building took up some time, but weather main cause.

Not even looking at the numbers, but just under 300km

Riding stats for June:
Managed 835 km and 5128 metres elevation, bringing YTD totals to 4680 km and 28463 metres respectively so happy with that.
Good riding conditions overall ...... bit cool at times for this former Nth Queenslander 8)

I've had a good month by my standards - 426kms, the most I've managed for a month this year. I've caught up some of the shortfall on my annual target of 4000kms, so I'm now at 1820kms, which is 180kms behind target.

I’m very much the opposite this month. Weather and house stuff really killed it.

180km and not even 1,000m :(

Mid-year and I'm half way to my annual goal, with not much extra to spare.
Aiming for 8400km.
4281km so far with 4119 to go.
614km for June.
Down again compared to the first few months of the year.
I need 686.5/month so I best be pulling my finger out.

Almost bad enough to make Zwift look appealing!
Sorry, it would need to be a blizzard for that to happen.

Not a great month, a few days working at home with dizziness and I have shortened my daily commute ride. Doing ok, 604KMs for June and up to 3,692 for the year. Doubt I will make 8,000 as I will be away for all of September, but should be a respectable total by the end of the year.

When hell freezes over I'll go back to riding a trainer.
Zwift even offered me a free month subscription but not a nanogram of interest here. :D

Yes, I only use it when away on-call. Otherwise it is no riding.
Marginally better than that is the best description I can give it.

Pretty uneventful end to the first 6 months, about 300km short of my goal.

Two weeks not riding coming up so I'll have to catch up further again.
I really should take up cycling!

First ride since January 10th this morning. :( I tried for the round number of 20klms but I couldn't ride up the hill any further past home and near fell off the bike at the driveway. :(

That gives me 40.9klms for the year!
