Fell asleep in front of the TV last night so haven't watched it yet.
It sounds like Vingegaard likely has Pog covered on the climbs again.

Just watched the highlights.
They were banging on about Jai's effort. Yep great.
However Jonas went up the final climb 1 minute faster and descended and time trialled without help to the finish faster also.
Very early in the tour but I don't see anybody climbing with Jonas. The tour looks to be his so far. Yes things can change and perhaps Pog had a bad day. Needs to be a fairly big change though.

I'm always impressed by how well the sprinters calculate their efforts to stay just inside the time limit. I wish I had the ability to climb as badly as the grupetto.

It will be a huge ask for Hindley & his team to resist the relentless pressure over the next 16 stages, but he's fortunate to have Buchmann alongside him. He's got the climbing credentials & the short ITT shouldn't damage him too much.

I wonder how much of Vingegaard's effort was to keep Jai's lead manageable compared to distancing Pogacar

Tonight’s stage will be interesting- more attacking or just holding fort ?

I imagine Tadej will be on the offensive tonight, should make for a good stage.

"What can I say, it was just an epic day riding around in the yellow jersey doing some mythical climbs and to be honest I got my arse handed to me," Hindley said. "But I really enjoyed it."

I like Jai after that honest assessment :)

Yes the Pog and Jonas were just ridiculous! :o
Nobody else was anywhere near them.

He won the Giro and is the only Aussie to have done that.

Wondering what the euro media are making of Jai- they were struck by socks on centipedes, now he’s talking about giving it a red hot crack

That’s a shame - just read about it. :( Hope he mends fast. Not the way you want to go in your last TDF.

Im looking for a link to results in tdf. Not 1000 words on Cavendish crash just the results in each classification.
Following Caleb but if he is not in the top 5 finishers, he is not mentioned.
Thanks

I must admit I was hoping he got at least one stage win to get the sole highest all time.
Oh well, he'll have to continue to share that title.

Yeah, Caleb was there, but got exhausted/squeezed out i think after he had to make up ground in the last 10 km.

Shame for Jayco / Simon Yates to come off at about 5 km and lose a minute... He was sitting pretty in fourth, but now dropped to sixth.

Another cracking stage and well deserved win for Woods.

More GC action and whilst some changes, it’s really a race of two parts - 1st & 2nd and then the 3rd step with a gaggle of riders holding on !

Next week will be interesting !

It was good.
The top 2 are going to be duking it out until the end it appears.
Jai fought back well at the end too.
