Noise Question on Ebike

Good Evening everyone.

First time here and was hoping to get some advice. I haven't been on a bike in probably 30 years so very new to Ebikes.

My brother was nice enough to buy me one for my birthday but when I ride I hear a knocking sound every now and again when I peddle.

I'm sure it's something to do with maybe a loose chain or something that needs tightening or maybe it's nothing (I could be wrong) and I'm sure there are ways to tighten it but I'm very lost having not been on a bike for so long.

Any help would be appreciated.

That is totally normal play in the hub's drive ratchets. Every non-fixed-gear bike has it to some extent, some hubs more than others.
