Garmin have a flash sale on – the new Garmin RCT715 (https://www.garmin.com/en-AU/p/721258) is now $150 off at $489 – a bargain, despite some app limitations and the standard radar at $259.00 (https://www.garmin.com/en-AU/p/698001/pn/010-02375-00)

Not really a special, but I noticed bikesonline release their new bike for sale. The components you get for the cash seem pretty unbeatable in this market? E.g. https://www.bikesonline.com.au/2023-polygon-helios-a8x

That includes a vision metron 5d handlebar, ultegra 12spd di2, all for $6500. I'm almost tempted to get it and sell my current bike. Am I missing something here? Yes it has its own brand components for wheelset (although still carbon) and saddle, but still...

The only minus I can see (apart from weight for the weight weenies out there) is the standard handlebar widths are too wide for a supposedly aero bike. I don't understand 42cm bars for anyone except guys who are 190cm, and even then they're a disadvantage.

Plus for crank size for XS is too big.

Great, thank you! Had been “eyeing” these off for a little while. Wasn’t too fond of the white ones, so grabbed a pair in the colour I preferred as well. They are Sutro S so will be a bit smaller. I’ll keep which ever pair I like more, and sell the other on FB Market Place, they seem to go for around $120-150 which is close enough to what I paid for both pairs!

Knog are doing some good prices on old stock
https://www.knog.com/collections/sale?u ... yclesnetau

A few small front lights, a rear light and the headlights (which are for trails.. but also good for the workshop when it is hard to see).

For the new Commuter/Gravel bike, I need some new chains as the ones that I have ion hand aren't probably long enough to cope with a potential 11-36 cassette at the back and the longer chainstays of the ICAN X-Gravel frame.

My preferred chain brand is KMC, as they are usually well priced OS, but found these on a super special at MTB Direct - KMC X11e for $40 ea instead of $100 - $120 anywhere else locally !

The bonus is that whilst stronger to be specific for the extra torque from eBikes, they are also 120 links instead of the typical roadie 114/116

https://www.mtbdirect.com.au/products/k ... 8071089197

Not sure how many are left as I grabbed 6 ..
To this already great reputation, the E-Bike X11e chains add even more torsion-resistance yielding an increase in durability of 20% over the original. Perfect for E-Bikes and heavy-duty applications alike.

This chain has the highest pin power, highest torsion resistance, and highest tensile strength and it features upgraded outer plate chamfering, KMC's famous double X-Bridge shape and triple X durability and is a non-directional chain so there's no getting it wrong when you install it.

Who's this item for: Any rider with an 11-speed drivetrain and a heavy-duty application such as an E-Bike, cargo bike or the thighs of a horse.
Bold & colour is my edit - :snap:

The increase in durability could be good.
Gravel is harder on chains than road.
More abrasive stuff gets on there.

NeoPro running out some clearance items, including their white "Blanc+" jersey. I love mine for hot daytime rides (combined with some white sun sleeves).

They also have a long sleeved version I'm very tempted to get but I'm trying to be good and save money right now.....

Park Bikes at Sydney Olympic Park have some good discounts on a few road and gravel bikes at the moment. The prices on the Cervelo gravellys are pretty sharp ....

Man, that's a good deal on the Aspero Apex 1.

The CAAD13 disc priced at $11969 from $4799, maybe not so!

Favero Assioma Duos (Look Keo equivalent) power meter pedals can be had for $764.99 using the afterpay code on ebay (APAYDAY3, after selecting afterpay as the payment method). 2x vendors are Pushys and global_direct_shop (according to the ABN on my invoice the latter appears to be a distributor called B & K HOLDINGS (QLD) PTY LTD). Kicking myself for pulling the trigger right before the price drop/wish I hadn't checked!

Good price, but wouldn’t go after pay to get it. They don’t need my details to get extra profit

Just picked up some Assioma DUO Shimano spindles from fleabay for final price of $719. Was an Aussie seller and responded quickly to question, so took the punt.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/27508907557 ... media=COPY

Was $779 but grabbed a $60 voucher, so $719.

That’s $100 cheaper than Pushys, and about $150+ cheaper than anywhere else

Now just gotta buy the pedal bodies to put on there :P

Free shipping at Pushys for a couple of days. Doesn't happen much anymore following the BikeBug acquisition.

Now, if only I could remember what I needed...
