I find it the same every where I ride. I like the comment by some cyclists that they select routes, select times, seek respect, ride hard left. Well I have tried it all and probably am still not a great rider.
I do know that I can ride left, centre, right wheel mark, give signals or not. The outcome is no different. Full time lights, panniers, mirrors, is the best I can do.

I am starting to enjoy the right hand turn where I have to be in the right hand lane.....they shout that I should be on the left of the road..... :D

I try to give a cheerful wave to the road owners. :)

He He,Yep the benefit of my mirrors. I watch every one that overtakes to see where there right wheel is in relation to the road centre. I keep an eye out for them with my finger on the trigger, they are not hard to pick. Some times it gets to them by surprise and it is they that swerve right... :)

Hello !

4 weeks ago I shared the trailer, the best of video of the brevetto Brenta - Ortles (officially 363 kms + 8088 m) in Italy.
3 days ago I finished editing the long video-version (45 minutes long) and writing a travelogue about it, so I'm happy to share them. The video contains more beauty and more details about the ride and adventure
It is full with english subtitles to understand, but the video contains a lot of great music in the background.

The route: Pietramurata (Italy) - Molveno - Passo Palade (1518 m) - Merano - Passo dello Stelvio (2760 m) -landslide on the descent - Bormio - Passo di Gavia (2621 m) - Ponte di Legno - Passo del Tonale (1883 m) - Dimaro - Passo Campo Carlo Magno (1682 m) - Stenico - Pietramurata.

I hope You will enjoy and / or it can give motivation too.
Thanks for watching !

Hello,
I share my video about a wondeful climb in Italy; it was a private road. Above the clouds it was wonderful, breathtaking.... and atthe end I met with chamoises :)
It's worth watching if You like the nature : it's name was Alpe Bessanetto:

Thanks for watching :)

I enthusiastically told a work colleague about my favourite climb the other week, the next morning he came in and excitedly showed me this. Turns out he's in the world top 40 of downhill skateboarders (longboarders, whatever it's called).

The grade going into that first hairpin is well north of 30%!

Your mate is seriously good at riding a skateboard

I wonder how long a set of wheels lasts him, the way he throws it sideways to brake like that 8)

He was telling me that last year he did a race at Pikes Peak (yes really, THAT Pikes Peak) and they got 3 runs max from a set of wheels.

Figured they wouldn't last too long. 8)

I just watched that clip again. I'm guessing those orange reflectors in the middle of the road would bring the skateboard to an abrupt halt.
(AT) 1:23 he steers between 2 reflectors after coming out of a corner and I think elsewhere he slides between them.
Seeing that just made the road a heap narrower :o

He specifically pointed that out, he was quite pleased with that effort. Remember too he had no lights, only the headlights of the car, so out of the hairpins he was blind for sometime  .

WhingingPom, is that Hobart? Some of the buildings look familiar from when i was down there a few years ago.

Yep. Bottom end of High St (Ruckers Hill). Awesome to ride down first thing in the morning with little/no traffic. Not so awesome to come back up at the end of the week with "Friday Legs".

Yeah, funniest cycling video I've ever seen. Wonder if this only happens around Spring time.

Hello !

Dolomites is said to be one of the most beautiful mountain range of the Earth.
Last August I cycled there a week and we had great weather :)
I edited a 57 minutes long spinning / indoor cycling / training video about our tours there and I'm happy to present it.
It contains the following climbs, passes:

Ortisei - Seiser alm, Alpenhotel Panorama (2015 m), Passo Gardena (2121 m), Passo Pordoi (2239 m), Passo Giau (2236 m),
Passo Rolle, (1970 m), Passo Manghen (2042-47 m), La Villa - Passo Varparola (2192 m) and as a bonus a climb not far from the Dolomites: Vipiteno - Passo Pennes (2211 m)

Note: Ortisei - Seiser Alm, Alpenhotel Panorama is a hard, but great cimb: the upper section and the top is one of the most wonderful places of the Dolomites.

I hope You like it; it can give you ideas where to cycle in the Dolomites, or you can use it for training (I think )

Best regards and thanks for watching !

Hello !

Hello !
La Palma is the steepest island of the World; its highest peak is 2426 m high: Roque de los Muchachos.
Its eastern ascent starts at oceanlevel :)
I climbed (by bicycle) the mountain twice: once its eastern, once its western side. I recorded GoPro video on its descents: it shows stunning scenery, views to the volcano, caldera, onto the clouds above the ocean, etc...
The video shows a part of why La Palma is called: la isla bonita = beautiful island.
Thanks for watching and hope You like it :)
