Does any one have experience / feedback on Giant Cross City 0 disc (2019)
How does it compare to a Cross City 1 disc 2021?
I believe Giant don't make the 0 any more, is that correct?

The 2019 Roam 0 had a better drivetrain (XT 11s vs Deore 10s) and brakeset (Shimano mt400 vs Shimano nt200) than the 2021 Roam 1 and a slightly better fork.

The Roam 0 was also made in 2021.

Was asking about Cross City 0 because I’m contemplating the used market.
If it’s not a good bike, then I’ll revert to my original choices in brand new: Cross City 1 or Trek FX3

From my quick glance at the specs there isn’t much difference. 9spd vs 10spd rear. Altus vs deore gears, Tektro vs Shimano brakes. Ie only an incremental change. It isn’t necessary to get the higher level gear if you don’t want. The giant has probably been a good bike for quite a few years (I haven’t followed them, but it’s a giant)

FWIW I have an older Giant Roam (circa 2017?) running gear on my flat bar commuter bike. Altus, 9spd, Teatro discs etc. it works perfectly well. I bought the near new roam very cheap with a damaged frame and switched running gear to a new frame. I rode the Roam a couple of times and there was nothing wrong with it - except the forks a bit heavy and a hole punched in the down tube from a car accident.

BLX I'm sorry, I had no idea why Roam jumped into my head instead of Cross City. Can only blame the time of my typing the response, and the fact that the last bike I worked on yesterday, was a Roam.

You are quite right, there is no longer a Cross City 0 in Aus lineup..

The Cross City 1 is the highest level of Cross City, and has been since 2018 if I recall correctly although it may have also run into 2019. Can't remember.
The 2018 Cross City 0, if you can find one, was a Deore 10sp with Shimano hydraulic brakes and is a nice bike. The current (2021) Cross City 1 is an Alivio 9sp.

If you found a Cross City 0 in good condition, and it fits, I'd suggest grabbing it.
