Definitely an interesting story, Recumbenteer! I can see real parallels with my own "how I got hooked on 3 wheels" experience, and the "centre of attention" being the unusual conveyance on large group rides like GVBR or GNSWR.

I haven't made the leap from recumbent trike to velomobile just yet, but would love to try one out! Seriously admire your across-Australia adventures.

Mind you, if you want to be the centre of attention don't go riding with a Hase Pino. No one even noticed the velo when that was in the pack!
