Excellent effort, I’m so impressed and jealous I may add, as I’m never going to be able to take part in something like that.

I thought I should at least say something...

I didn't want to ride that day, I'd had a long week at work and I had really wanted to stay in bed on Saturday and let the weekend by pass me... however it didn't work out that way.

The Don Road climb was much easier than the time before, we'd done it on the DBMA and it had been torturous, next time I wont stop at all... Looking back at the DBMA I don't remember the climb up to Don Road... I remember the climb up to kinglake clearly but Don Road escapes me.

I took the descents slowly today as I'm not 100% sure on my breaks... everyone says I don't need new break pads but I don't feel the explosiveness in my ability to stop like I did before.

The gravel part coming off Don Road was a lot harder than the time before, although we'd had more rain recently...

The climb up Donna this time was easy... um I mean easier, the climb was still fresh in my head from the week before so I new the points that where reminders of how far... and not long to go. The head wind up Donna was not nice...

The last 30km we encountered a head wind back to Healsville, all the sleep that I'd missed out on through the week had finally started to catch up on me and for the final 10km I really felt tired to extent where I was yawning.

So overall... KEN IS A MACHINE... AND GREAT COMPANY, my climbing is improving, my work on the flats has always been consistent but none the less I continue to improve, get faster and stronger.

Missy you rode brilliantly, especially given the lack of sleep. The photos show you looking as fresh as a daisy after two hard climbs.

The road back was tough too and I didn't realise how tired you really were. No wonder you looked like you didn't want to leave the coffee shop. It was all to comfy sitting back.

Thanks for a great day out.

ITS ON

Ok so Ken and I will be doing this again... we are making a slight change to the map and avoiding the highway apart from that the aim is still Don and Donna and 100km.

It'll be a 5am start... leaving Melbourne that is.

You will need your own transport... if anyone would like to HTFU...we would love for you to join us, but we do advise that this ride isn't easy.

Map will be up later

The List

But we need to find another 70 somewhere to round it off to an even 2000

How high is the tower on top of Donna? That must be good for 20 or 30

Do you know what time you'll be arriving at the foot of Donna?
I will be doing multiple climbs there on Sat morning so I can keep a lookout for you all to say g'day. :D

We'll probably arrive around 8.30 - depends on how we go on the Don Rd. Our paths are bound to cross. We'll be making stops at Cement Creek and 10 mile car park on the way up.

That's for our warm-up 8)
Maybe we should do another ascent up Mt Toolbewong afterwards for a warm down as well. Then we wouldn't have to run up and down the tower at Donna to make up the 2000m
