Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail (North Qld) Community Meeting

Postby Aushiker » Thu Aug 23, 2007 9:05 am

G'day
A feasibility study for the proposed Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail from Atherton to Yungaburra has begun.

As part of this investigation a public meeting will be held at Merrilands Hall in Atherton on Tuesday 28th of August 2007 from 6pm to 8pm.

Development of rail trails in Queensland has been limited and this trail faces many other hurdles, particularly with Queensland Transport wanting to remove the impressive bridges. This is the opportunity to demonstrate public support for the trail, and everyone with an interest in the development of the rail trail should attend or encourage people they know in the area to attend.

More details on the trail can be found here.

Regards
Andrew
