Has it really come to the Herald Sun being a reliable source?

My thoughts too

Has he actually bashed his wife or is this yet another delay tactic? Ie he hasn't actually bashed his wife

It'd be a clever move though. He'd have to stay and face those charges first. Should be able to drag that out a few years, then get a bs suspended sentence for a few more.

We are not going to see him face justice here.
Yes it is extremely unfair and annoying.

Or, his wife is in on the sham and she refuses to testify when it finally gets to court, so the case is dropped.

Fair call! But, first her parents will be dying and need constant care (2 years), then she'll get sick (18 months), then she'll drop charges (another 18 months)

Well, the 7th has come and gone. And the Delhi High Court web page remains stubbornly unresponsive. Is it just me that can't access it?
Ah, there is a new website! The case of interest is now here

Adjourned again!

We’ll, there’s a 24th March entry but it appears empty ??!
[edit] .. adjourned to 18th May. It notes that “the petitioner was present”
The petitioner is present in Court and he shall remain present in Court on the next date of hearing.
List for arguments on 18.05.2023.
Interim orders to continue.

Something happened on the 2nd of August but, once again, the link to the order is broken
:-(
[edit : it appears to be bureaucracy at work, most of the recent orders are ‘404ing, suggesting either a backlog or broken instructions]

Appears the OP has stopped sleuthing. Last posting is at the beginning of the year - anybody heard from the Cranky one?

I hope he is OK. :( He has had a serious health scare previously.
edit
I hope I am wrong but this doesn't sound good. :(

That doesn't sound good. I was wondering why Colin hadn't updated this thread, or contributed to others lately.

An intelligent and generous person he seemed to be. 71 is far too young.

That's a bugger, wondering why he'd been entirely absent on this last page when checking the neverending story.

Meanwhile, there was an order lodged on the 11th Sept. Once again, this has not been uploaded. One assumes more of the same.

Ditto. 22nd November. Nothing attached since March. I'm presuming the DV hearing is adjourned as well.
