Haven't been down the V1 route to the Gold Coast for about a month due to the predominantly northerly flavoured breezes of late and my preference for a bit of assistance on the homeward leg . Mostly easterly this morning though and I didn't need to see the wreckage around the riverloop.
Sad to see that the laying waste to the scrubland to the east betwixt the kart track and the depot prior to Foxwell Rd (over the two bumps) is nearing completion.
Sadder still was the deceased one of these big beauties laying on the side of the road alongside the destruction just over the crest of the first bump.
Perhaps it's a portent of things to come. I suspect that even very early morning jaunts are set to become a lot less enjoyable down that way. Enjoy it while you can.
