Formerly known as Fuga-Down Under, Cinelli joined up and team Cinelli Down Under was born. The "Down Under" is a little abstract as the team now boasts riders from other nations however was formed in 2001 as a amature squad to give young Australian riders the chance to race in Europe.
With the riders’ skill and good team management, the Belgium based team has had support from well known sponsors including the Australian based Cycling News (website). In February this year, Cinelli came on board and the team has already claimed victories under the new name.
To be a professional team, a website is essential, today team Cinelli Down Under launched their new site. Navigation and language selection is a little difficult and the four language website makes it challenging to properly access English language content as does the information structure. In favour of the team is that they now have an online presence which can be developed and improved over time.
