Team Diary: Lampre NGC – Giro

"We’re satisfied for today performance: well done" commented Giuseppe Saronni, general manager by Lampre-NGC, on the start of Giro d’Italia for blu-fucsia team.

Cunego, Bruseghin and team mates recorded the 9th performance in the team time trial of Lido di Venezia (20,5 km): the time stopped at 22:32", 42" more than the winner Team Columbia. Team Lampre-NGC performance is quite competitive with the other top teams.

Cunego was the blue-fucsia that crossed the finish line first to give him 58th position in the overall standing.

"We thought we would lose more seconds to the more skilled teams, instead we’re happy for this very good team time trial" Damiano Cunego explained "I thank my team mates for this good performance".

Bruseghin is also happy: "A good start of Giro, our efforts produced a positive result. We had could lost even less seconds, but between 4 and 3 km to go we couldn’t keep a constant speed. Anyway, we’re satisfied about the team harmony".
