Danilo Napolitano from Team Katusha crashed heavily with 700 metres to go he has cut off. He didn’t go down but he walked his bike to the finish line.
Danilo Napolitano: “What a pity. Today I felt very good. I know it’s difficult to beat Cavendish but I’m sure that I was able to do a good sprint. When I was in a Cavendish slipstream, I crashed the front wheel against a Milram’s bike”.
