Lampre-NGC’s Riders Caught up in Crashes

Lampre-NGC’s riders were unlucky being involved in the crashes that characterized the 2nd stage of Tour de France (Monaco-Brignoles).

Marzio Bruseghin hit the ground after 50 km when a rider from behind hit his bike and he went down injurying his left wrist and his left knee. He continued the race but after the arrival he went to hospital in Marseille for x-ray’s.

Furlan was caught up in the crashes but finished a respectable 12th in the final sprint. At 80 km to go he broke his bike after being involved in a crash. He recovered and, thanks to he support of his team mates, he was in a good position for the sprint, but another crash in the bunch held him back and he finished 12th.
