Team Quick Step at Tour de Wallonie

The third stage in the Tour de Wallonie meant the last one for Dominique Cornu. The Belgian rider finished already behind the peloton during the first two stages, after he had done his work for the team. Today Cornu lost contact with the peloton again and then decided to abandon.

In the meanwhile the stage went on with the 3 escapees Brutt, Sijmens and Goss. They got an maximum lead of 7 minutes, but saw the peloton closing by when Team Quick Step speeded up. Sijmens had to let go in the front, but Goss and Brutt managed to stay away. Goss took the stage win, Brutt ended second and Philippe Gilbert became third 5 seconds later. Dries Devenyns was in the front of the peloton too, he finished as 11th on the Mur of Thuin.
