Ride Like Crazy in 2010

Ride Like Crazy is a charity cycling event supported by the South Australian Police. Participating riders can tackle 53 or 110 kilometres on Sunday, 17 January 2010 and support the fight against cancer.

In October 2008, Senior Sergeant Mick “Crazy” Koerner was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. In an effort to assist Crazy and his family, his work colleagues and friends established a cycling event called Ride Like Crazy. On 22 January 2009 more than 600 riders took part in the fundraising event.

Due to the overwhelming success of Ride Like Crazy, South Australia Police has adopted the ride as a community event. Ride Like Crazy 2010 will continue the event’s legacy of promoting the fight against cancer, with all profits supporting the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation Inc. and the Neurosurgical Research Foundation Inc.

Participants who register by 30. November will get a free Ride Like Crazy jersey or Polo shirt and free lunch on the ride day. Registration and further information online: www.ridelikecrazy.com
