Hanover ConnectEast Ride on November 13

The Ringwood to Frankston Eastlink Carriageways will be opened for cyclists chasing a $300,000 fundraising goal. This event will enter it’s second year in 2011 and will welcome thousands of cyclists in a 15km, 35km or 75km ride who can enjoy safe riding while helping raise funds and awareness for the homeless in Victoria.

The Melbourne born pro rider Simon Gerrans of Team Sky (with stage wins in the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a Espa?a) is the ambassador of this charity event and will race in the (untimed) 75km Personal Challenge event. The event is also inviting for families with the 15km fun ride as well recreational riders with the 35km course.

The ride is on Sunday November 13, 2011 and the EastLink motorway is closed and only for cyclists participating in this event.

Registration opens next month on July 2011: www.rideforhome.com.au
