Angry Doctor 2010 Cancelled – Freak Storm

The 2010 chapter of the Angry Doctor MTB enduro has been cancelled after a freak storm hit Mogo the night before the event.

The storm ravaged much southern New South Wales, with Emergency Services Minister Steve Whan declaring the area a natural disaster zone.
Winds of up to 120kph hit the NSW south coast bringing many trees and branches down and blocking the Angry Doctor trails.

The event planned for 4-5 of September was started and delayed a number of times before conditions in the Mogo State Forest were declared too dangerous to continue. An 8km loop was cobbled together in the clear power line corridor, but cancelled after one lap following a serious accident and disagreements with locals.

Organisers AROC (Adventure Racing Ourdoor Challenges) have since offered all entrants priority places and a discount for the 2011 Angry Doctor.
